This is a critical time for education; a critical time for the members of the Nova Scotia Teachers Union.
Too much quality time in the classroom is being lost as the result of edicts from the Employer. It seems that leaders in the Department of Education & Early Childhood Development have lost their way. They do not seem to realise that they are taking from teaching time, and giving to administrative tasks and data entry. This increases the workload while decreasing the time working with students.
The President of Nova Scotia Teachers Union needs to be able to have effective dialogue with all those who have influence. I have this ability.
I look forward to meeting members across this province so I may share my vision.
